You may have noticed things are a little different here.

The first thing you might have noticed is that there aren’t any big, flashy, boisterous photographs in these pages.

You know the kind.

The one with the studio light set up in the background, with the assistant holding the reflector, and the photographer telling someone to move their chin two inches to the left.

A wedding day should not be all about the photographs (or the photographer).

Instead, it should be about you, your friends and your family.

I look for perfection in imperfection: real, raw, unguarded moments that make beautiful, honest memories.

Because that is where everybody looks their best: comfortable, relaxed, happy and in love.

No poses, no contrivances, nothing fake.

Just the best day of your life, unobtrusively documented by me.

 A little bit about me.

Well, hello there. My name is Oliver. I’m a photographer who attends weddings.

I drink a lot of coffee.

I like the smell of burning wood.

I like looking at the ocean but I don’t always want to swim in it.

I don’t really like caramel but I really like jersey caramels.

I will eat almost anything that is pickled.

I am slightly afraid of birds.

When I’m not taking photographs, I’m out hiking with my lovely partner of 10 years (her name is Gemma, and she’s really great), or riding my mountain bike somewhere.

Taking photographs of people who are in love makes me happy.
