Elanora Epic

The brief for this stunning backyard wedding was simple: Ben and Linda wanted to celebrate their love with close friends and family in their very own backyard. Uncomplicated, elegant. All the best bits. They are both mountain bikers (like me!), and had their bike bags all tucked up under the stairwell for a trip to Rotorua, New Zealand, the day after the wedding. Priorities!

A Hunter Valley Dream

This was a very special wedding. Harleigh and Callan got in touch with me a while back, and told me a bit about their day. They explained they were young, on a bit of a budget, but had some pretty cool ideas. This wedding shows what can be done when a community of people get together and make something properly special. So much of it was put together by friends and family, and it all came together beautifully at Pokolbin Hall in the Hunter Valley.

Magic in Mudgee

This was a pretty special wedding. Mudgee is a cute country town in central New South Wales. It is known for two things in particular: food and wine. For the latter, imagine vineyards on the outskirts of this cute, country town. Now imagine a wedding in the vineyards. That's The Vinegrove.

Harbour Heaven

Monica and Sam have recently moved back to Sydney from Canberra. Actually, they had moved back only the day before their engagement shoot! Naturally, Sydney was putting on a bit of a show, and these two were very happy to spend the afternoon enjoying each others' company while the sun set over the harbour. We began at Balmoral Beach, where we climbed over some rocks and played around in the afternoon light. We jumped in the car and headed off to a Sydney classic: Bradley's Head.

Weekend in Wollstonecraft

We spent the afternoon at their apartment in Wollstonecraft, where I was taught the delicacies of making home-made pasta using a hand roller. Fun and messy are two words that come to mind. Whilst we waited for the pasta to dry, we crossed the bridge and made our way out to the beautiful grounds of Strickland House. As we arrived, someone had taken up residence perched on a rock, stringing an acoustic guitar. Couples were splayed out reading and picnicking, and the sun was setting over the glistening Sydney cityscape.

Inner West Bliss

Yvette and Harsh are the kind of down-to-earth and no-nonsense people that you immediately connect with. They have traveled the world together, live in a beautiful townhouse in the inner west of Sydney, and planned a simple but elegant wedding at the UTS Rowing Club in Haberfield. It was a particularly beautiful day where their love was on display to close friends and family on the deck of the Rowing Club.

An afternoon at Watsons Bay

Watsons Bay must be one of my favourite locations in Sydney. The bay faces west, so you can take advantage of the incredible Sydney sunset over the city and harbour. As the sun dipped below the clouds, Nathan pulled out his guitar and began playing. Helen joined in singing, and a small crowd on the clifftop were treated to some beautiful music. It's never 'just another day' as a photographer, it always ends up being something special.

Sydney Stunner

Veronica and Kevin are just two people that make it look good. Laughing, smiling, surrounded by family. A quiet moment on the balcony together. They are in love - that much is quite clear.

Secret Garden Engagement

Veronica and Kevin love this part of Sydney. Bays everywhere, views to the epic cityscape behind. We went for a walk and took some photos. It turns out, they are both naturals in front of a camera. I think they were just in love and quickly stopped noticing my darting moves to capture their faces! Either way, it was a good day. A great day.

Beaches Bliss

Katrina and John are a born and bred Northern Beaches couple. They fell in love on the beaches, and they are renovating their dream home together on the beaches. They love to walk their dog, Zoe, at their local beach. It's all about the beach. They live in paradise, with their friends and family all close by. The wedding ceremony was held moments from their front door, overlooking a small bay in Newport.
